YDC After-School Positions
Volunteers are always needed!
YDC is looking for volunteers to help 3rd through 7th grade students with reading, homework and tutoring, and outdoor activities. The 2019 spring YDC after-school program begins on January 28th and finishes on May 2nd. Ruckersville Elementary on Monday and Wednesday from 3:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. Nathanael Greene Elementary on Tuesday and Thursday from 3:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. William Monroe Middle School on Tuesday and Wednesday from 3:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. If you would like to stay for an extra hour from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. YDC could use assistants for cooking, art, and STEM activities.
Recess and Games Leader is responsible for planning and coordinating outdoor and indoor play activities. The R and G leader will help students learn to collaborate with one another and have fun! Also, the R and G leader will direct one of the elective activities. These activities can very per semester. Current elective activities are Art, Cooking, and STEM Team Building. The R and G is usually our STEM leader. The R and G leader will assist in other areas when needed.
Locations are William Monroe Middle School on Monday and Wednesday, Nathanael Greene Elementary on Tuesday and Thursday. Four days per week. Dates are September 9th through December 5th. Hours are from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. $12 per hour.
